Reiki Facts & Origin

Reiki (pronounced rãy-kĭ) is a non-invasive energy
therapy that promotes the body’s natural healing.

It is a laying-on-of- hands, like a mothers touch.  It
supports the body, mind, spirit, and emotion.

Mikao Usui, a Japanese man rediscovered it in the
early 1900’s. Reiki is a Japanese word that
translates to universal life force energy and has a
rich history that has been reawakened these past
years and brought to the masses.

Reiki popularity comes from its ability to
compliment  any form of medicine, or healing.

It is applied through the energy system of the body,
and one does not need to touch to experience
its healing affects.

Anyone is a candidate for Reiki, as there are no
age limits for this synergistic form of healing.

The power within Reiki is magnetized by the
individual receiving it, and stimulates the channels
in the body  to restore balance.  It is the invisible
energy that is life-force.

Reiki  requires a vessel to be channeled. It  is
passed from teacher to student by a method of
an attunement, and is taught in levels to give
the body time to adjust to the energy
in a natural way.

Reiki promotes a sense of well-being and a feeling
of connection to a greater purpose of being.

As you form a partnership with Reiki, a rapport
with the compassionate universe emerges, and
a portal for transformation emerges.

Having or giving a Reiki treatment is an  uplifting
experience for the practitioner as well
as the recipient.

As the energy passes through it deepens the
connection between the giver and the receiver and
a respect for the interconnection of life.

The energy of the universe is limitless; a never
ending supply is always available and can be used
in any area of living.

As we evolve through Reiki, we develop a  sense of
brotherhood that is within and around.

We are  one is spirit, one in life. "We are life"
